Irani Chai: Indians grow with tea, meet with tea, celebrate with tea and even shared sadness with tea. Chai was born on a dusty roads in India. Irani chai is a unique form of tea unlike any other version of Indian chai, made by the combination of mawa (creamy sweetened milk) or black tea. The result is a sweet and creamy chai. Iran chai and Osmania biscuit: The combination has been ruling the city for over decades and is patronized by students. Professionals and businessmen, not to forget the daily wage workers, beggars and the elite sections all alike.

Dum Biryani: Historians believe that biryani originated from Persia and was brought to India by the Mughals in early 1800's. This delicacy of Hyderabad is sought out today all over the world. Chicken dum biryani is goodness of rice and meat that comes in layers! The process of cooking in its own steam until rice is fluffy and meat cooked just to perfection is called “Dum Cooking Cooking”. A lengthy cooking process but all totally worth the effort.


Why Chowrastha ?

Desi: Means “Land, Country”. Word used to describe the people, cultures, and products of the Indian subcontinent and their diaspora. Desi traces its origin specifically to the people of the countries India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

Chowrastha: Means “the intersection of four streets streets”. The word is used in causal way to communicate about the joint to hang out with friends and how Indian culture evolved in every city around these so called “Chowrastha’s”.


The logo is inspired by intersection of 4 streets. Letters “DC” are designed to show the fun feeling of life with a smile.
